Based in Lincolnshire, we are a multiple award-winning architecture practice with clients all over the UK. With an extensive network of connections within the industry, we have built up a credible reputation over the past 25 years. Innovative, modern designs are at the heart of what we do. We look at each project individually in order to research and respond creatively to the brief we are given.

Our Mission

Ryland Designs' core mission is to design the best buildings across a range of sectors. Our highly experienced team offer a turnkey solution, developing conceptual designs through to the final details. To ensure the continuity of the project we can also oversee construction through to completion. Resulting in an end product that both you the client and we are proud of.

We are a dedicated team who work closely with our clients throughout the process. Our aim is to exceed your expectations as we take you step-by-step through the project. We carry out feasibility studies at the start of the project so you know the predicted costs from the outset. We work alongside trusted contractors during the build phase and we can create a detailed scope of the works. This allows the project to be tendered out more easily.

ERDF & Smart Energy

Our business is passionate about the environment! We have taken steps to reduce our energy consumption, lowering our carbon emissions for our loved local community. As a business we have invested in a Heating and Lighting. This will make a huge difference to the environment and this is just the start of our sustainable journey.

To help us invest in these energy saving measures we had support from Smart Energy Greater Lincolnshire. Through this we received a grant of £2,861.40 to enable us to make these fantastic changes.

The £8.5 million Smart Energy programme has been part funded by the European Regional Development fund. This is enabling small to medium businesses across the Greater Lincolnshire area invest in energy saving technology.

Whether you require our help to design a domestic, commercial, educational, leisure or industrial project, our design process remains consistent.

Step 1 - Initial Free Consultation

This is where we discuss your ideas and assess what is required. We will give you some initial design thoughts and outline the range of services that may be suitable for your project. A quote will be given for the costs involved, along with predicted timescales.

Step 2 - Site Survey

Once you are happy with the predicted costs, we will arrange a visit to carry out a measured survey of the building or plot. We will then go away and prepare some more detailed sketch designs, and we will communicate with you regularly as the designs evolve to suit your requirements.

Step 3 - Planning Application

Once we have finalised a sketch design with you, we will provide more detailed scheme drawings to meet the submission requirements of the local planning authority. We can also create 3D visualisations giving you an insight into how the final design may look and also our images can be used to assist planning applications.

Step 4 - Building Regulations Application

Once planning permission has been obtained, following the building control approval, we will then prepare more complete working drawings and details for construction purposes and submit a building regulation application. Following the approval.

Step 5 - Tender Process & Contract Administration

Additionally we can offer placing your project "Out to Tender". Upon instructions, detailed tender drawings can be finalised to provide full clarity for the construction teams. This will allow the builders to submit detailed quotations for the build of your project. Once you have selected your contractor, if you require us to manage your project, we can carry out regular on-site inspections, ensuring a quality end product.
